Aquidneck Food Pantry Logo

Founded in 2021, the Aquidneck Food Pantry serves over 200 families each week in Portsmouth and surrounding communities. Powered entirely by volunteers and community donations, the pantry provides essential food access to neighbors in need.

Rhode Island PBS considers it their mission to spark imagination, explore our history and reflect the values of the diverse communities that make up Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Guided by civic engagement, they provide unique, high-quality local, national and international programming, and digital content that educates, inspires and engages.

Newport Pride supports and works with the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in the Newport, RI area. The organization advocates for equality and more inclusive policies, safe and welcoming spaces, provides resources and education to expand community understanding, supports diverse LGBTQ+ identities and history, and produces events for people to connect, learn and celebrate.

Founded in 1964, Newport County Community Mental Health Center provides trauma informed evidence-based services to children, adolescents, families and adults who are experiencing problems with mental illness, substance abuse or stress in their lives that would benefit from counseling and other behavioral health services and supports.

The Potter League for Animals enriches lives and promotes the humane treatment of animals. They shelter unaccompanied companion animals and place them in safe and healthy homes. They educate the community to embrace humane principals and provide the best care for their pets. They provide community support programs which help all pet owners provide better lives for their pets. And they expand access to essential veterinary care.

West Place Animal Sanctuary answers the call when an animal is in need, providing refuge to farm animals, wildlife, and lost dogs. Furthering its commitment to the community, West Place Animal Sanctuary also offers educational opportunities to students seeking to make a difference for animals.

The Women’s Resource Center leads domestic violence prevention through the empowerment of individuals and the community by providing advocacy, education and support services.

NewportOUT aims to make Newport, Rhode Island and the surrounding area an open and inviting place for travelers who identify under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. From same-sex couples looking to tie the knot in an incredible seaside town, to LGBTQ+ families looking to vacation, to international tourists looking to hit the New England hotspots, NewportOUT want all of these people to feel welcome in Newport and have access to resources on the best experiences to include in their visit.
