Flying the drone for our listings lets me see different areas from an unusual perspective. We live in such a beautiful area, and the drone lets me see all of it in a different way.

Writing the video scripts is my favorite part of filming Katy’s informational videos. I learn so much about real estate and how to say things briefly, kind of like a crash course.

Erin Donovan is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate with Homes By Connect and The Donovan Group in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She brings a fresh perspective to real estate, along with a strong background in communication, marketing, and relationship-building.
Having grown up around the industry, Erin has seen firsthand how much care, consistency, and trust go into helping people buy or sell a home. She understands that real estate is about more than paperwork and transactions. It is about listening, communicating clearly, and helping clients feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.
Erin has also been part of the Homes By Connect story from the very beginning. As the daughter of Broker/Owner Katy Donovan, she watched the brokerage grow from the ground up and saw the time, energy, and heart that went into creating a company built around connection, collaboration, and community. That experience continues to shape the way she approaches her own work as an agent.
In addition to working with buyers, sellers, and renters, Erin serves as Digital Marketing Assistant for Homes By Connect and The Donovan Group. She is responsible for the drone photography used to showcase many Homes By Connect properties and also films Katy’s informational real estate reels. Her experience with photography, video, public relations, and digital marketing gives her a strong understanding of how to present homes in a way that feels polished, engaging, and true to each property.
Erin graduated from the University of Rhode Island with dual bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and Public Relations. Earlier this year, she earned her Master’s in Communications while continuing to build her real estate career.
She recently shared her perspective on growing up around real estate, watching Homes By Connect take shape, and the values that continue to guide the company in her blog post, What I’ve Learned Growing Up Around Real Estate.
When Erin is not working or attending classes, she enjoys going to the gym, reading Stephen King novels, baking, and spending time with friends.
