A Little Known Fact About Me:
I am a ping pong wiz! We have a table and the way that we decompress after work is to play. My wife and I are extremely competitive! I love tennis, too, but ping pong is instant gratification!
When I Am Not Selling Real Estate, I Am:
Well, my family would quickly say that I am never NOT selling real estate! It is a consuming passion for me, but in my limited free time, I enjoy the trips that we plan. Most recently, my wife and I went to Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles. Our family enjoys our annual trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware so much. A quick staycation is a wonderful weekend on Nantucket. Any time I can be near the water, I am happy!

Anyone who really knows me knows that the answer is any song by Men At Work. 40 years after hearing them for the first time as a freshman in high school, Men At Work songs take me to a very happy place.

We created our brokerage, Homes By Connect, with the guiding philosophy of creating genuine connection with our clients, colleagues and referral partners. Connections, Collaboration and Communication are essential concepts to how we run our brokerage and how I live my life.
I have worn many hats in my professional life. After growing up in Birmingham, Michigan and attending the University of Michigan, I immediately moved to Newport, RI on a whim, ready to expand my horizons. Here in Rhode Island, I tried my hand at several professions on the way to finding my true passion, real estate. Those many hats included owning an espresso bar, managing a restaurant, teaching (my degree is in elementary education) and working in a gym. The common denominator that unites all of those careers is the ability to create connections through superb communication skills and authenticity. Whatever the goal, the best path to get there is to foster respect for others, show true curiosity and caring and to strive to be the best at whatever I choose to do!
I started in real estate in 2008, just as the market was heading into one of its worst crises ever. My first real estate experience was in luxury condominium complexes in Newport and Bristol. I quickly realized that I wanted to broaden my horizons to general residential brokerage. Along the way, I also took all of the coursework to become an appraiser. But ultimately, real estate sales and rentals took center stage for me. I started my general brokerage career with Keller Williams Realty as a buyer specialist for a large team. From there, I started my own team, The Connect Real Estate Group in 2018. In 2021, we decided to make the move and start our own brokerage. And we have never looked back!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three adult children, my wife and our delightful pup, Jellybean. Tennis and ping pong are my sporting passions, and my very best days are spent sitting on a beach, any beach, just watching the water. I am very fortunate that I live in the Ocean State!
